Class Description
Math is more than just numbers! In this class we will express Math through Art by learning the different ways we use Math in everyday life by adding a creative element to equations. By creating mathematical projects that feature equations we will explore the cultural math of the indigenous people of America, African art, Islamic art, and Asian art.

About the Instructor
Necilia Jones is a photographer and light/life coach specializing in Necilia Jones is a mother of three children, Destiny Nyala (age 27), Dennis Kwame (DJ Kwame) (age 18) and DeAngelo Kwabena (age 14). All of them have attended NationHouse Watoto School. She is also an author of two books under the pseudonym, SolJornah Jones. They are Black Eyed Susan and Other Essences and Soul Journey: The Soul Less Traveled (https://www.bbotw.com). Necilia Jones received a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration (Management) in June 2020 and an Associate's in Photographic Imaging in 2011. She is a certified as Master Reiki and Crystal Reiki practitioner and hosts art therapy workshops and classes to clear and heal chakra centers. She also enjoys painting, sewing, and writing. Her interests are reading, music composition and art, sound, and physical therapy (yoga, meditation, sound baths, etc.), all things ancient, environmental, and animal conservation projects and anthropology of diverse cultures.
