Class Description
Introduction to French of Benin (Ages 7–13) Offered in partnership with Resplendence Language Arts Bienvenue! Welcome to this lively beginner French course designed for curious learners ages 7 to 13. In this class, students will explore the beauty of French as it is spoken in Benin, West Africa, while learning through music, storytelling, games, and cultural activities. Through twice-weekly, 30-minute sessions, students will build confidence as they practice basic greetings, numbers, colors, and everyday phrases. Along the way, they’ll also discover Benin’s rich cultural heritage from its traditional foods and festivals to its music and history.
Class Skills Development
By the end of this course, students will: Speak basic French greetings and introductions Count numbers and identify colors in French Use simple everyday phrases related to family, food, and daily life Recognize cultural landmarks, traditions, and customs of Benin Build foundational confidence for continued French learning

Show kindness, patience, and respect toward classmates and the instructor. Mistakes are expected and welcomed—this is a safe learning space. Parents may assist younger students at the start of class if needed. Keep cameras on when possible to help build community connections. Enjoy the learning process and approach French with curiosity and enthusiasm.
