Class Description

*The Universe Within* is _I Am Sun@ Sankofa_’s Year-Round program for Pre-K/K/ Ages 3-6; we meet on Tuesdays & Thursdays year-round from 11:30am-12 pm, and then again from 1:30-2 pm. This is the beginning of _I Am Sun@Sankofa_’s Holistic Youth GED Program. We explore: - Friendship Building - ⁠Speaking and Conversation - ⁠Socioemotional Intelligence - ⁠Breathing Exercises - ⁠Yoga & Movement - ⁠Meditation & Mindfulness - ⁠Pan-African Cultures - ⁠History & Geography - ⁠Arts, Crafts & Imaginative Play - ⁠Reading (_Phonics, Parts of Speech, Sentence Structure_) - ⁠Math (_problem-solving with adding and subtracting, multiplication rhythms_). Reinforce our learning at home and prepare your watoto for a life-long journey, imagining and cooperating with their village—and sailing through accelerated college-entrance learning, so that they can get right into their dreams without all the unnecessary academic fuss:). Mama P will support your children from Pre-K and right into college preparation, to embrace their life passions and dreams. A program like none before, one where families gain an edu-aunty to share the collective responsibility of raising bright minds and hearts. Class Skills Development 

Emotional intelligence, yoga, breathing techniques, reading fundementals (letters, sounds, and combinations) some ASL and Swahili, Math, Count by Rythems, addition and subtraction, problem solving, art, african geography and history

We’ll only need specific ones for specific projects
