Class Description

*I Am Brilliant: Ages 7-9 Literary & Math Prep* is _I Am Sun@Sankofa_’s 2nd level for our Holistic Youth GED program. We meet from Monday through Thursday virtually, 10:30 am - 11:15 am for Math/English instruction, and then from 12:30 pm - 1:15 pm each of those days. We begin English & Math GED/College Foundations with an extensive diasporic digital reading library and the next foundational math skills from our Pre-K/K program. Then we embrace teamwork through World Exploration & Imagination in the afternoons, continuing to explore and reinforce our foundational learning in - Socioemotional Intelligence - ⁠African/Diasporic and World Geography - ⁠Arts & Crafts - ⁠Theatre - ⁠STEM learning via Pan-African, Odyssey of the Mind-inspired projects

We’ll only need specific ones for specific projects

About the Instructor 

Preshona Ambri, M.Ed is an experienced 2nd-3rd grade teacher from Roots PCS and Kids and Culture Camp. A beloved teacher, Preshona cares deeply about her students' academic and emotional growth. She wants them to know how loved and brilliant they are.
