Class Description
In this hands-on, exciting culinary class, your child will transform into a confident young chef! From local favourites to healthy twists on classics, students will learn to prepare delicious, nutritious, and easy-to-make meals they’ll be proud of. Cooking with Goodness is not just about food, it’s about independence, creativity, and life skills. By the end of the course, students will: Master foundational cooking techniques and kitchen safety Prepare a variety of simple, well-balanced Ghanaian meals Learn how to plate and present food like a pro Understand the health benefits of ingredients they cook with Expect laughter, learning, and lots of tasty result
Class Skills Development
By the end of the cooking class, students will: Prepare 7–9 healthy Ghanaian meals independently Understand basic cooking terms, tools, and techniques Learn how to safely use kitchen equipment and measure ingredients Know how to plan, prep, and plate meals creatively Be confident and excited about fixing meals for themselves and others Appreciate the nutritional value of foods and practice healthy eating habits
Class Materials
A beautifully designed Cooking with Goodness Digital Cookbook with step-by-step recipes Printable kitchen checklists and meal-planning guides Fun nutrition fact sheets for each recipe Access to demo videos and student chef challenges Ingredients for each session will be communicated ahead of time to parents.
Class Norms
Always wash hands before class and have your cooking station ready Safety first, students will learn how to handle tools responsibly Follow along, ask questions, and enjoy the process Be kind and celebrate everyone’s food journey — no judgment, just joy!
About the Instructor
Goodness Okpoti is the creator of Cooking with Goodness, a food enthusiast, educator, and advocate for healthy eating in fun, accessible ways. With years of experience cooking and teaching, she loves guiding young learners to feel confident, independent, and proud in the kitchen. Her recipes are Ghanaian-inspired, wholesome, and always packed with love.
